Performs daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media.
Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure/add new services as necessary.
Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.
Works with clients for problem determination and resolution of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure in the network environment per defined SLAs.
Generating and maintaining detailed technical documents.
Ability to participate in after-hours escalations and 24x7 on call as scheduled

Qualifications:
Previous working experience as a Windows or Linux Administrator for 3 year(s)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar relevant degree
Hands on experience with SQL language
Familiarity with VMWare and SAN management and concepts
Solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP and SNMP
Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills desired
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities
Good verbal and written communication skills.
The ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
